Trips generally feature a guided tour of a unique castle or home, often with gardens.
  • DOORSTEP LIBRARY: Is a community organization dedicated to fostering literacy and a love for reading within central London public housing estates. Volunteers visit the same families weekly, bringing a fresh supply of books for children up to age 12 to discover. Often, visits allow time for volunteers to read with children, or for children to practice their reading aloud. Opportunities for AWC members to participate include committing to serving as a weekly volunteer during the school year, or as a substitute reader on a more flexible schedule. Come share your love for words, stories, and the magic of reading with children!
